Surely the roller should go on the pivot point to get 0 chain growth?

I did read it... I'm agreeing, it's the linkages flexing, rather than 'the wheel' like everyone else is saying...ffs marquis

It's brilliant how much debate this picture has caused. It's a matter of perspective, if the camera was displaced off to our left from the centreline of the bike, as the frame flexed to the same side, and the wheel the other, the frame would look centred in the dropouts, and you would see more of the driveside than the non-driveside, which is how it is.

All that's happened is the camera isn't on the pre-flex centreline of the bike, it's moved off slightly to our left, which is why it looks like the wheel's flexing.

I assumed you guys would be using the bank as a drop in ramp, are those three step ups onto it at the end of a run?

I've not got any personal experience with this, but I've been told that a PUSH'd Van RC is as nice as a dhx, albeit without the myriad of adjustments, but honestly, do you need those?

Kona website says it's a 2.0 stroke, and 6 inches on a 2in stroke makes for a 3:1 leverage ratio, which is also states. Sorry, but I'm fairly sure I'm right.

What did you actually change for this 'custom linkage' bit? Have you just flipped the rocker arms around or something?

200mm length by 2in stroke (I think 200mm is about 7.875in or something?)

Woah, way to bash on the guy. Yes, if you're downhilling, i.e. running race-worthy downhill spring rates, you should bottom once or twice a run, but he's not. If he likes the fork the way it is, that's GOOD, don't discourage that. Also for the record, that's the bloody camera lens doing that to his forks, no way in HELL would they flex that much, and the lens distortion is ruddy obvious to anyone who's spent more than a few minutes learning about cameras beyond which buttons to press on the new shiny OMFGWTF-megapixel camera.

Top tube still kills it for me, personally, aesthetics wise, I think they should put a V10 style kink downwards just being the headtube junction, so the majority of the tube can run more sloped down towards the back, looks a little weird as it is, like they really just ran out of room for the bigger linkage...

Exactly, that's why I asked what it was used for before I suggested a different fork! Fair play to you mate, I'm sure it feels nice with the pike up front, people seem to love them.

There's 58mm between a pike and an 05 66 in length, more than 2 inches! Razz Makes a big difference to the way the bike handles! (2005 66s were ridiculously tall though, mine's 13mm taller than the pike)

If you're using it for all mountain, they're probably about right. Domains would be a bit heavy, if you could afford them, Lyrik's would be absolutely perfect on that bike Razz

How easy is it to get the rotor out? Cos that could actually be a very useful feature for taking it abroad via plane...
